Online Discussion :- Oneness Of Literature

Literature has different form but it connected with each other, where it is new or old. When new work comes it is modified by write but for the previous work it the readjustment. It call constancy  between the old and the new literature.                   Northop Frye  's theory of  Archetypal criticism  is based on the idea that whole of literature has  oneness.  In the Archetypal Criticism Northrop Frye talked about seasons. He says that our emotions and feelings are related with season .  T.S Eliot               In essay “Tradition and Individual Talent” Eliot talks about pastness of past and its relevance with present. He was also emphasis on historical sense. Sense of history is most important to understand any text.                   We fin...

Thinking Activity : Modern Poems

Here I'm given my interpretation on these three short modern poems .  1.   T. S. Eliot,  Morning at the window They are rattling breakfast plates in basement kitchens,  And along the trampled edges of the street  I am aware of the damp souls of housemaids  Sprouting despondently at area gates.  The brown waves of fog toss up to me       Twisted faces from the bottom of the street,  And tear from a passer-by with muddy skirts  An aimless smile that hovers in the air  And vanishes along the level of the roofs. The poem draws a picture of morning with the lots of work and poet uses the metap hor and imagery like ' damp souls of housemaids' , also shows poverty of modern life with the different examples,  muddy skirts, twisted faces. 2.    H. D. (Hilda Doolittle), ‘The Pool'  Are you alive?   I touch you.   You quiver like a sea-fish.   I...

Thinking activity : The West Land by T.S Eliot

1.   What are your views on the following image after reading 'The Waste Land'? Do you think that Eliot is regressive as compared to Nietzche's views? or Has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling mytho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise?  Ans.             " The Wasteland  "          is based on Christianity and faith in god. Eliot is believer on god, he use so many myth in this poem. At some point this poem is backward. Even his ideas is also backward and regressive. Because Eliot take help of Upnishada, Budhhism and Christianity for get solution of the contemporary problems. There is no doubt that all universal human laws are true. Eliot used all myth and historical fact as his weapon to prove his point so   According to my views Nietzsche and T. S. Eliot both have different point of view, Nietzsche is very progressive and forward looking.  He doesn't believe...
