Movie review:- River and tides

Rivers and Tides - 2001 Andy goldsworthy working with time. This documentary directed by Riedelsheimer. In the meditative 90 minutes documentary. Goldsworthy is seen working on new creation and explain his philosophy with appreciation of the natural world.

This documentary won the Golden Gate Award grand prize for best documentary at the 2003 San Francisco International film festival. The extraordinary documentary will attract you with more fascinating images or music with very appropriate tune that make it very interesting

Andy goldsworthy makes sense- luscious sculptures entirely out of things , he finds in nature , stones , twigs ,leaves , plant stalks , clay , ice and snow. He creates design of leaves , moss icicles and other thing. He builds man size ' eggs '' on beach between tides , worm of leaves its way down to mountain also creates " Igloo ". He finds red ore stones and grinds them to powder then make new experiment on it. States that red colour is expression of life. Narration of animal like sheep and Thier impact on the landscape , there are no trees , he creates the wall of stone with white wool on the stone.

Goldsworthy participates in movement of nature and constructed the art. He creates after working for hours. For exa , an icicles that rising sun will destroy it , though he feels love in making it. He said , " I ' ve shook hands with the place. "

In documentary , working with time , art and life. It also reflects transitory nature. Different way of looking at art. It also explain philosophical ideas the art going to die very soon. Not permanent, thus process of life and death in nature. In documentary not only art is there but Goldsworthy connects philosophy with it. That is more significant.

" Art for me is a form of nourishment . " Goldsworthy creates something and destroyed by nature. Then he said , " It was my gift to them ." He not felt sorrow for it. He accepts the thing and again does new experiment with nature. Thus all are beautiful moments with nature , to live with it very interesting thing.

Today we have movie screening of sense and sensibility this story written by Jane Austen and directed by Ang Lee in 1995. This is the story of Dashwood sisters. in this story two main character who represent the title " Sense and Sensibility" Elinor and Marianne. Elinor was very practical girl and Marianne was very emotional and sensitive.Their father Henry Dashwood just died and than all power and property goes to his stepbrother hand and john not do anything for his stepmother and sisters. he was already wealthy because he has fortune from his mother and he also married to wealthy fenny ferras in which fanny's brother, Edward comes to stay and he attracted towards Elinor.
