Comparison between The White Tiger and Movie slam dog millionaire

#narrative structure - Wanted poster and KBC show.

  • In the novel we can see that how cleaverliy Balram connect his story with two chines terrorist and narrate new story about himself and in movie Jmal cleaverliy deal with all question even he don't know the right answer. they both are not much educated but they know that how to deal with people or situation.

  • We can also find corrupt system and foolishness behind the poster and KBC show. police trying to find balaram with unclear image and in movie we can see that host of KBC ( Anil kapppr ) trying to cheat Jamal by giving wrong answer. If they are using clear image than maybe uneducated person able to find him but here we can say that if educated people read the poster than they also not able to find him because image is not clear.

  • In movie Anil kapoor gave the answer "B" if he not try to cheat jamal than maybe jamal not able to choose right answer "D". so by this two incident we can say that both are win because they know the nature of corrupt people or how to deal with them.

thinking Activity On Structuralism and Literary criticism

Being a structuralist critic, how would you analyse literary text or TV serial or Film? You can select any image or TV serial or film or literary text or advertisement. Apply structuralist method and post your write up on your blog. Give link of that blog-post in the comment section under this blog.                       In literary theory structuralism is an approach to analysing the narrative material by examining the underlying invariant structure. Structuralist critic find same structure in many literary work in same way we found many same structure in movies, serial and advertisment. we find in some literary work  there where same structure repeat several time.                             Here i analyze one  advertisement.                                It is not just advertisement of  ' Ariel ' but In this advertisement we find very brif idea about equality of man and women. so i think structure of this advertisement is good.
