Review of the film " The Great Dictator

The Great dictator is a political satire comedy drama. this film written, directed and produced by charlie Chaplin , this was Charlie's first true sound film.  This film was realised on 1940 during world war second. In this movie we can see the situation during modern time. In this film Charlie Chaplin was in double role. He was soldier and also Dictator.

This film first focus on the situation of war between two nations. Also this thing shows the strength of army and conditions of soldiers. During war Chaplin saved life of one army officer. During that time his plane was crash and he losted his memory of 20 years. He behave like he was a barber. So this thing show us that because of war how situation become difficult for the soldiers. War happens not because for nation but because the ego of power. Power plays vital role behind every war.

This film  was the  best example of political satire. In this film shows how political leaders behave in front of the public. In this film Hynkel was political leader.  In his speech he  talked about motherland , liberty and Humanity. He was  whipping during his  speech. So It was all fake thing . People were control under him.He told to clap so all should clap for him. When  he said to be silent so all should silent.

Hynkel was playing with balloon of Globe It symbolize that how this political leaders think about others. They don't care about others they only wanted to  become powerful. So it was
like a game for him  to ruled over the world. He wanted to became Dictator of the world.

My favorite speech of Charlie Chaplin in movie THE GREAT DICTATOR . as per my opinion it is very powerful speech ever given. i strongly recommend you  listen to entire thing. its realiy  great massage to humanity. here is a link of the speech.
