Kathak Workshop



Introduction 
                      A young exponent of Kathak Dance of lucknow style at present " Shikha khare " has been giving kathak dance training at shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi under Guru - Shishya Parmpara. she is graduate with psychology, english and economics from mahila collage, lacknow university and post diploma, kathak kendra new delhi under the guidance of kathak master, padma vibhushan pt. Birju Maharaj. 

                               She is awarded with the title of " Best Dancer " by S.N.A , up also awarded with the title of " Mayuri ". 

                              I was particepated in ' Kathak workshop', organised by Kiran Mem ( Kathak Dance Teacher ) in which i have met shikha Mem and i have learn some dance style from her it's great fortune to me. she was taught us dance on " Rangi Sari Gulabi Chunariya Re " and on this song she was performed at  'Khajuraho Dance Festival '.

                       She was taught a lot  about kathak like kathak communicated stories through dance, song and music and the main focus of the dance on the eyes and the foot movements, eyes works as a medium of communication. 

                           Thank you so much Mem for your guidance this was memorable workshop for me. 


                          My Dance Teacher ( Shri Vinita Verma Zala ). She was suggested to me for this workshop otherwise i'll be not going  participate in this workshop thank you for always supporting me. she is a great dancer and absolutely the best Guru, i just wanna become like her.... I will always give my best and make you proud of me.
